Genelec and Crestron® announce closer integration via new control module
The Smart IP module allows precise control of essential audio functions such as power management, volume control and mute, and also enables automatic discovery of loudspeakers on the network. Control of individual loudspeakers is possible, or alternatively, large numbers of loudspeakers can be managed via a zone control feature.
In addition to simplifying the system setup and configuration process, the module also allows real-time monitoring of loudspeaker status, providing critical information such as volume, input level, zone ID, heartbeat and more. It also enables the loading of custom acoustic profiles to ensure optimal audio performance in any environment.
For easy troubleshooting, the module provides feedback of all network details including Dante, IP and MAC addresses, host names, and firmware. Furthermore, users have the ability to locate specific loudspeakers in a system by triggering a LED blink on each individual loudspeaker.
