Genelec x Thomas Rex Beverly – A Resonant Collaboration Rooted in Nature

Thomas Rex Beverly is known for his extraordinary ability to capture the raw, emotional essence of nature through sound. Thomas’ nature sound libraries are used by OSCAR, Emmy, and Golden Globe winners for major film, TV, museum and video game projects. As Emmy award winner Tim Farrell put it: “Thomas’ unique and well recorded sounds have helped me create the sonic universe of Star Trek.”
Through this collaboration, Thomas is sharing with us a unique sound library – rich with captivating, high-quality recordings from remote and fragile ecosystems. These sounds will support our events, experiences and sustainability storytelling, offering audiences a powerful and emotive way to reconnect with nature.
Thomas also documents his journeys visually, capturing striking moments from places like California’s ancient redwood forests – including rare footage from high in the canopy, where few have ever climbed.
“This collaboration with Genelec supports my work in capturing the voices of the natural world,” says Thomas. “What matters most is the shared understanding and belief in sound’s power to connect people with the planet.”
“At Genelec, we’ve always believed in the emotional and transformative power of sound,” says Genelec Managing Director, Siamäk Naghian. “Thomas’ work invites us to listen more deeply – not just to nature, but to ourselves and our place in the world. We’re honoured to support his vision and to help share these stories through sound.”
