Genelec wins Inavation Sustainability Award

We’re delighted that our environmental credentials have once again been recognised by the global AV industry – this time with the prestigious Inavation Business Award for Sustainability.

As one of four exemplary organisations to be shortlisted, Genelec was awarded first place by Inavate Magazine’s panel of industry experts.

The Inavation Awards are run annually by Inavate Magazine in collaboration with ISE to recognise and celebrate the very best of AV design, integration and management on a global level, whilst helping AV buyers discover the industry’s most important innovations.

Genelec's entry to the Awards demonstrated our continued efforts to minimise the environmental impact of our business. Since our founding in 1978, sustainability has been one of our core values. Introduced initially through the responsible production of long-lasting, serviceable loudspeakers, this commitment to sustainable development has proven ever more important as environmental pressures have increased globally.

Over the years, we’ve adopted many more ways to monitor and improve our environmental performance, including ISO14001 certification, powering our factory using renewable energy, recycled-aluminium loudspeaker cabinets, and minimal-power-consumption designs.

Our low-power and single-cable loudspeaker system, Smart IP, was awarded Best Loudspeaker at Inavate's 2021 Awards for its simple and innovative answer to reducing consumption in the AV industry.

The Inavate Awards' ceremony was hosted in person this year at the ISE show in Barcelona, marking a return to its traditional format after the 2021 event was held online for the first and only time in the Awards' 16-year history.

We’d like to extend a very sincere ‘thank you’ to the awards judging panel for recognising us with this accolade – it’s much appreciated.
